Girls night glamping

I finally took a trip in Jimmy with a gal pal + we had the best time! My girlfriend + avid hiker friend Emily agreed to be my adventure buddy + head up to the White Mountains, just as our Indian summer was coming to an end. We decided to head up Georgiana Falls with Tewks on a beautiful fall Sunday morning. The hike was moderate in difficulty, as the trail winds up next to a huge waterfall. This hike has many beautiful spots to stop + snap photos along the way. But, make sure you make it all the way up to the top, because it's definitely the most beautiful spot once your arrive.

Once you get to the top there's a great spot to sit, have some water + a snack. We definitely weren't in a rush to get back down the mountain once we reached the top with these views. Emily even caught a photo of a rainbow. And, Tewks was also happy to have a rest after pulling me up the boulders + squeezing under tree trunks while I had to hop over them.

After our gorgeous morning hike, we were ready for some refreshments + headed over to Seven Birches Winery right in Lincoln, only a few miles away from Georgiana Falls. There we enjoyed a wine tasting + charcuterie board + ended up leaving with a few bottles of their apple wine + mulled spices to enjoy back at our campsite. The winery was very cute + I would definitely stop again, as they had a huge assortment of reds, whites, fruit wines + an array of different cider's (at a whopping 7%) + the tasting was only $15! You definitely get your moneys worth + the staff was super knowledgable + friendly.

We headed to our campsite at The Barn Door Hostel + Campground in Rumney. I had stayed before + had a great experience over the summertime. It's a family owned hostel where the barn has been converted into a beautiful hostel. They have a huge open field with picnic tables + fire rings. In the summer there's an outdoor shower you can use right next to a stream that runs alongside the property. Porter potties are at the entrance of the campground. Once we got settled in + set up. We enjoyed our mulled wine fireside until we ran out of firewood + migrated back into Jimmy for a cozy movie night with Tewks at our feet.

The next morning we decided to check out what claims the be the best breakfast in the White Mountains, Flapjacks in Lincoln. After a short wait, we were seated. It was a child's dream with the assortment of pancake options (as well as many other breakfast platter options.) I had to have pumpkin pancake; because FALL! Everything was very delicious + we left feeling very stuffed. All in all, it was a perfect little one night getaway. And, we got to enjoy a beautiful ride back home. It's sad to think that fall is already coming to end here in New England. It's never quite long enough.
